AECL faculty, students attend national conference of the Association for International Agricultural and Extension Education

Graduate students and faculty members presented four posters and six research presentations at the national conference Association for International Agricultural and Extension Education (AIAEE) conference in Miami, FL. The following faculty and students attended: M. Craig Edwards, Shida Henneberry, Adam Cobb, Assoumane Maiga, Fred Matofari, Stephen Mukembo, Joshua Ringer, Richie Roberts.

Graduate students and faculty members presented four posters and six research presentations at the national conference Association for International Agricultural and Extension Education (AIAEE) conference in Miami, FL. The following faculty and students attended: M. Craig Edwards, Shida Henneberry, Adam Cobb, Assoumane Maiga, Fred Matofari, Stephen Mukembo, Joshua Ringer, Richie Roberts.

Research studies and related presentations were made in collaboration with two other OSU departments, one other OSU college, five other universities (LSU, University of Florida, University of Louisville, University of Southern Mississippi, and West Texas A&M University), the NRCCTE, and USAID.

The manuscript “An Assessment of the Sasakawa Africa Fund for Extension Education’s (SAFE) Training Program in Mali: Graduates’ Perceptions of the Program’s Impact on Their Professional Performance” received the 2013 Article of the Year Award from the Journal of International Agricultural and Extension Education (JIAEE).  The manuscript’s authors were Dr. Assa Kanté, Dr. M. Craig Edwards, and Dr. Cindy Blackwell.  The work was derived from Assa Kanté’s dissertation which was completed in AECL during 2009 - 2010.

Dr. Kanté was also recognized with the outstanding early achievement award from AIAEE.

PhD Student, Assoumane Maiga, was elected AIAEE’s student representative for 2014 – 2015.
