Riggs appointed assistant professor

Angel Riggs has been appointed assistant professors in the Oklahoma State University Department of Agricultural Education, Communications and Leadership. She will transition from a role as an instructor and lecturer in AECL, a position in which she has served since 2008, teaching undergraduate writing courses.

She will transition from a role as an instructor and lecturer in AECL, a position in which she has served since 2008, teaching undergraduate writing courses. As an assistant professor, she will continue to teach these courses, as well as assume advising responsibilities for undergraduate students. Riggs received her Ph.D. in agricultural education from OSU, her master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University, and her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Central Oklahoma. She previously worked as a newspaper reporter, serving as State Capitol Bureau reporter for the Tulsa World. Riggs and her husband, Gary Lawson, have one daughter, Mattea.
