| By Kathleen Kelsey Are you a working professional who has dreamed of earning a masters degree but just doesn’t have the time? The Department of Agricultural Education, Communications, and Leadership recently began offering a complete Master of Science and Master of Agriculture degree online. Dr. Kathleen Kelsey is directing the online degree program and says that “the online degrees offer maximum flexibility and convenience to adult learners. Students can learn anyplace and anytime with our online graduate degrees.” The courses are offered using internet-based content management systems such as Blackboard, Desire 2 Learn, and Moodle. The courses are 100% asynchronous, meaning that students are not required to come to Over the past year the program has served over 70 students from across the nation. The majority of online learners are Oklahomans who are time and place bound, meaning that they have full-time jobs and family responsibilities. Without the online degree option, most of the students would not be able to earn an advanced degree. More information about our online degrees can be found at our website http://aged.okstate.edu/distance.html. |
