The national ACT awards were presented in July 2006, at the National ACT Convention in Portland, Oregon. Judging was done by agricultural communications professionals from across the United States. While in Portland, Kathryn Bolay completed her term as 2005-06 National ACT 2nd Vice President, and Julie Sackmann was elected 2006-07 National ACT Secretary-Treasurer.
The Oklahoma State University ACT chapter was awarded Chapter of the Year Membership, Recruitment and Retention, Chapter of the Year Community Service, and National ACT Chapter of the Year.
In addition to the following awards, Ruth Bobbitt won a $1,000 National ACT/American Agricultural Editors Association Scholarship.
