Agricultural Communications Alumni Scholarship
One to three scholarships ($100 to $500) awarded annually to students enrolled full-time in agricultural communications by the Department of Agricultural Education, Communications and 4-H Youth Development. Selection based on academic achievement, involvement in Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow, leadership activities and financial need.

Herb Karner Agricultural Journalism Scholarship

$500 award for an undergraduate majoring in agricultural communications. Selection based on academic achievement, leadership and demonstrated abilities to contribute to the field of agricultural communications.

Dr. Alezander Magruder Memorial Scholarship
Sponsor: Edna Magruder Kelsall
$1,000 award given to a junior or senior student majoring in agricultural communications or agricultural communications/animal science. Preference given to students who demonstrate excellence in communications, academics and leadership. First preference given to applicants from Oklahoma. Applicants must complete the CASNR scholarship application and write a short historical paper on the life of Dr. Alexander Magruder and his significance to OSU and Oklahoma agriculture.

Ernest Shiner Memorial Scholarship
Sponsor: Mrs. Marguerite (Shiner) Holloway, Arcadia, Okla.; and friends and colleagues of Dr. Shiner
$500 award for a full-time student majoring in agricultural communications pursuing a career in print media.

Ferdie Deering President's Distinguished Scholarship
Sponsor: Friends of Ferdie J. Deering
$8,000 ($2,000/year for four years) given to an entering freshman. Consideration given to a sophomore or junior agricultural communications student if a freshman is not selected. Selection made by the President's Distinguished Scholars Committee upon recommendation of the department's scholarship committee. Recipient must meet the President's Distinguished Scholar requirements. If an incoming freshman is selected, the award will be granted for a four-year period subject to a yearly review.
